Grid Simulators
A grid simulator can be used to simulate the characteristics of low-voltage mains. For this purpose, all voltages and frequencies of the supply networks occurring worldwide can be simulated. Critical states such as short-term voltage dips or voltage peaks (surge/burst) can also be generated.The integrated sequencer function enables the generation of different network parameters, e.g. distorted waveforms and intermediate oscillations. Therefore, grid simulators are well suited for testing conformity to standards and especially for determining the behaviour of electrical equipment in borderline situations. Many European and other international standards are pre-programmed for testing.

Hipot Tests
The hipot test (high potential test) or dielectric withstand test, is used to determine the insulation and dielectric strength. It is carried out on modules, devices and systems of protection class I + II. In this test, the insulation of the test object is subjected to greater stress by the high voltage than in normal operation. HV Enclosures with Integrated Safety Test
The HV test hood according to Performance Level e (ISO 13849-1), developed by us according to the EN50191 standard (erection and operation of fixed and temporary electrical test installations), offers the highest safety for the operator. The large test chamber is enclosed with a hood made of sturdy, highly insulating and transparent plastic. During the test, there is a clear view of the test specimen. A signal light visually indicates safe opening when the light is “green”. “Red light” symbolises danger, the hood cannot be opened due to the safety interlock. The safety switch also ensures that the hood cannot be opened during the test. This means that the test hood fulfils all the required specifications for compulsory contact protection.

LXinstruments FCT systems for industrial electronics assemblies are particularly suited for applications with a large variant diversity for medium volume sizes. They are used for testing utility electronics as well as for drive control and grid management systems. We have also implemented systems for functional test, repair and calibration of decentralized PLC I/O assemblies.Since early failures in the field often lead to enormous costs, we not only provide functional test systems, but also burn-in systems for simultaneous testing of many assemblies in a climate chamber. Due to the modular structure of our software, it is possible to establish a logical separation between the definition of the climatic profile to be executed and the actual test sequence, during which the different electrical tests are processed. Connections to HALT/HASS systems can also be established without problems.

The PXIe‑4322 is a channel-isolated analog output module with built-in signal conditioning. The module provides accurate, simultaneous dynamic voltage and current outputs. By combining signal conditioning and D/A converters in one device, the PXIe‑4322 isolated analog output module offers smaller dimensions and higher measurement performance. In current mode, the module operates in all four quadrants, allowing current to be drawn and sourced. Thanks to isolation and outputs for higher voltages and currents, the module is particularly suitable for applications in the automotive sector.

IVTS In-Vehicle Test Set
The in-vehicle test set was developed to successively measure several active RF amplifiers installed in the vehicle as well as different antenna structures. It offers the possibility to connect 12 DUTs. The DUTs can be connected to an external spectrum analyser via a 1 to 12 RF multiplexer. Each DUT can be individually switched and supplied with an adjustable voltage via a bias-tee integrated in the system. The individual bias voltages and currents are recorded by the IVTS and can be called up on an interactive control panel or via Ethernet and SCPI commands. The complete system can be powered by rechargeable battery and can be operated either via Ethernet, fibre optics or WLAN.
