Gyrocompass Changeover System
GCS
The Teledyne TSS Gyrocompass Changeover System (GCS) has been developed to ensure that your navigation system is continuously supplied with heading information from a bank of up to four connected heading devices, such as the TSS Meridian or Saturn gyrocompasses. The selection of the heading source can be carried out either manually or automatically. Retransmission circuits are housed in a rugged enclosure suitable for bulkhead mounting.

The new TOGS subsea navigation system is built on core TSS fibre optic gyro (FOG) navigation technology with significant improvements in efficiency and functionality. It is available in three standard heading accuracy variants: 0.1° (TOGS1), 0.3° (TOGS3) and 0.5° (TOGS5), all rated for operational depths to 4,000m or 6,000m. Attitude data is delivered via accurate roll/pitch measurement capabilities of 0.01° (TOGS1) and 0.05° (TOGS3 and TOGS5), and a heave performance of 5cm or 5%.

As with TOGS, it is available in three standard heading accuracy variants: 0.1° (TOGSINS1), 0.3° (TOGSINS3) and 0.5° (TOGSINS5), all rated for operational depths to 4,000m or 6,000m giving you a range for all your needs.Inertial position data is produced using an INS algorithm, within the firmware framework of TOGS, whilst attitude data is delivered via accurate roll/pitch measurement of 0.01° (TOGSINS1) and 0.05° (TOGSINS3 and TOGSINS5), and a heave performance of 5cm or 5%.

Built upon the already established, industry standard and world leading TSS HydroPACT 440 system, the HydroPACT 660E continues the legacy by bringing pipe tracking and UXO detection capabilities to small inspection and observation class ROVs, for applications that were previously only available on larger vehicles such as work class ROVs and trenchers.The HydroPACT 660E has a single 24 Vdc, small subsea electronic pod, dramatically reducing the installed footprint and payload of the system while maintaining an operating range of greater than 85% of that of the significantly larger HydroPACT 440 system.
