High Voltage Non-Contact Current Probe

The TESCO High Voltage Non-Contact Current Probe (Catalog No. P02-802) was developed using current sensor technology. It is a two-piece, True RMS ammeter with a fiber optic link between the high voltage sensor and the readout at ground potential. The sensor is mounted on a hotstick and slipped over a high voltage line.

Hot Socket Simulator
Hot Socket Simulator
The new TESCO Hot Socket Simulator gives you the ability to investigate meter failure issues related to hot socket phenomenon. The Simulator is equipped with one 2S meter socket with four jaws, one of which is the heated jaw. The arcing/heating apparatus can be moved to any of the four jaws (jaw 1 is the standard). Additional arcing/heating elements can be provided as an option for multiple hot jaws on the existing socket.

These burden sets have been carefully designed to meet these requirements. They also provide the standard burdens required for the testing of current transformers for metering service, and for the testing (within the current rating provided by the sets) of current transformers for relaying applications, all as called for by IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Publication 185: 1987.
