1-Watt Transmitter
VM-560FF
The VM-560FF Transmitter has one induction frequency; three direct connect and a fault-find frequency. The LED indicators on the transmitter show the frequency selected, output level, and battery status. An audio indicator beeps to advise the quality of the connection. This one-watt transmitter can transmit the locate signal onto the target line three ways. By direct connection, if direct access to the line is available, by induction by simply putting the transmitter in induction mode and placing it over the target line with the induction arrow in line with it or by clamp mode and using the induction clamp to clamp around the target line.

Utility Locator
VM-810
Using the correct frequency makes a world of difference when locating buried utilities. The depth of the utility, size, material, and amount of congestion (proximity of other utilities) all need to be taken into consideration for the correct frequency selection. Large diameter, direct buried pipes with bell housing ends that use insulators and rubber gaskets, such as water or gas require a higher frequency while smaller diameter, well-grounded direct buried or long distance in conduits work, better with a lower frequency. The VM-810 operates at 83.1kHz which is ideal for water and gas utilities which generally are larger pipes with bell housings and gaskets. The VM-810’s higher frequency is also good for locating ungrounded small diameter drop wires and inducing signals through the soil, onto services when direct connecting is not an option.

50-Watt Rack Mount Transmitter
FLS-2
Fiber optic cables are a critical part of modern life due to the vast amount of data they carry to support businesses, internet users, and emergency services. The cost of losing these services, even temporarily, is immeasurable. The FLS-2 system is designed to assist in locating, monitoring and providing damage prevention to these cables. The FLS-2 high-performance, high-power rack-mounted transmitter is typically mounted in a re-gen staton, customer access point, or central office. The FLS-2 transmits a locate tone on the metallic sheath of the fiber cable over vast distances to ensure the cable can be located quickly and accurately, even in congested areas.

Utility Locator
VM-850
Using the correct frequency makes a world of difference when locating buried utilities. The depth of the utility, size, material, and amount of congestion (proximity of other utilities) all need to be taken into consideration for the correct frequency selection. Large diameter, direct buried pipes with bell housing ends that use insulators and rubber gaskets, such as water or gas require a higher frequency while smaller diameter, well-grounded direct buried or long distance in conduits work, better with a lower frequency. The VM-850 operates at a much lower frequency of 9.82kHz which is ideal for smaller diameter utilities such as CATV, power and telephone with less bleeding onto adjacent services.
