PCIe Carrier For PMC And PrPMC
PCI104
The PCI104 is a PCIe carrier for PCI Mezzanine Cards (PMC) or Processor PCI Mezzanine Cards (PrPMC). The PCI104 carrier allows simplified testing of PMC/PrPMCs and their associated PMC I/O Modules (PIMs) by using a PC environment during board development or deployment. The PCI104 can also reduce the costs of manufacturing PMC/PrPMCs by allowing manufacturers to use off-the-shelf PCs for functional testing. The PCI104 converts the PCIe x4 edge connection to PCI-X via a PCIe to PCI-X bridge. The trace lengths to the PMC/PrPMCare kept to a minimum so the PMC/PrPMC can run with a133MHz PCI-X clock speed. The J4 connector of the installed PMC/PrPMC is routed to a 96-pin DIN connector per theVITA-35 specification. The PCIe to PCI-X bridge can run in either transparent or non-transparent mode and can also operate in forward or reverse mode. The PCI104 has a fan mounted on the board to cool the PMC/PrPMC. The fan can easily be removed for testing and probing of hosted card.

Qseven is a Computer-on-Module (COM) standard for small sized and highly integrated systems adopted by SGET. The Qseven concept is an off-the-shelf, multi-vendor, Computer-on-Module that integrates all the core components of a common PC and is mounted onto an application specific carrier board. Qseven modules have a standardized form factor of 70 mm x 70 mm or 40 mm x 70 mm and have specified pinouts based on the high-speed MXM connector, regardless of the vendor. The Qseven module provides the functional requirements for an embedded application, which include, but are not limited to, graphics, audio, mass storage, network and multiple USB ports. A single ruggedized 230 pin MXM connector provides the carrier board interface to carry all the I/O signals to and from the Qseven module. The FMC1831 is an FMC module designed to be compatible with AMC, VPX, PCI, PCIe, CompactPCI and PC/104 carriers. The module has two dual channel AD9361 transceivers with a maximum sampling frequency of 122.8 MHz over a bandwidth of 200 KHz to 56 MHz. A reference clock can be either externally supplied or be generated from an internal PLL. All input and output signals are connected via SSMC connectors for secure connectivity and signal integrity.

This conduction cooled 3U CompactPCI single slot PMC provides an active interface between the CompactPCI bus (backplane) and a PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC). This product addresses the needs of aerospace, military, and rugged applications. It contains a thermal heat frame made of aluminum that fits together with conduction cooled PMC modules. Conduction cooling conducts heat away from the hot spots of the board and transfers the heat to the card edges and to the system chassis. No active ventilation is necessary inside of the system, which means the boards are sealed from the environmental influences found outside of the chassis. The heat frame and integrated wedge locks for the conduction cooling stiffens carrier and PMC module enabling the board to resist high shock and vibration.
