Environmental (Radiation) Monitoring System
Hawk® EMS
The Hawk® EMS is a wall or tripod-mounted radiation monitoring and alarm system designed for use with the Hawk® Radius dual sensor radiation probe. Each EMS System comes with a Hawk Radius Probe. The system is extremely energy efficient and can run for weeks on an internal 9 volt back-up battery if power fails. It is well suited for operating on a small solar panel, which is an optional accessory. The Hawk® EMS features two displays that show the radiation levels measured by each of the probe’s two detectors: the weatherized “pancake-style” Geiger-Mueller tube — which measures alpha (if configured for it), beta, low energy gamma, and x-radiation — and the energy-compensated gamma tube which measures penetrating gamma dose rate. The probe can be mounted next to the EMS system or outdoors, or in adjacent rooms on cables up to 100 ft in length. Standard cable is 3 meters in length. Optional signal booster can support cable lengths longer than 100 feet. Optionally the system can also be configured to share data on ethernet or wireless networks.

The MAGNETOSCOP 1.070 is a portable magnetometer system with microprocessor and probes for measuring the magnetic flux density as an absolute or differential value (gradient). It has a USB port for simple data transfer and an SD card for saving measurement data and parameters. The measuring system also facilitates the recognition and saving of peak values and the adjustment of thresholds for limit values. The unit can be used for series and individual measurements. The data can be easily analyzed and documented with the PC software included in the scope of delivery. The MAGNETOSCOP 1.070 thus facilitates the portable and fast measurement of the relative permeability within the scope of the quality control of stainless steel and low-permeable (non-magnetic) alloys as well as the localization of ferrite enclosures. Near Field Probe Set

The RF100 probe set consists of a passive E field probe and H field probe, BNC adaptor and carry case. The output is via a BNC socket. These are general purpose probes which are ideal for use in conjunction with an EMC measuring system. They are sensitive to sources in close proximity, but are insensitive to background signals. This makes them ideal for the identification of emission frequencies in noisy environments... thus making measurements easier and quicker. The proximity requirement also enables sources to be located and the exit route identified.
