Right Angle Waveguide to Coax Adapters
Fairview Microwave right angle waveguide to coax adapters include millimeter wave frequency ranges with models in the K-band (18 to 26.5 GHz) up to the V-band (50 to 65 GHz). These right angle waveguide to coax adapters offer excellent VSWR as low as 1.29:1, while also providing insertion loss performance as low as 0.3 dB. Waveguide sizes available for these new 90 degree coaxial adapter models include WR-42, WR-28, WR-22, WR-19 and WR-15. These coax to waveguide adapters in a right angle design are ideal for numerous applications requiring a transition from coaxial cable to waveguide or vice versa, including SATCOM, wireless communications, industrial, test and measurement and defense systems. Analog Devices high speed, differential CAT-5 video receivers and equalizers compensate for the transmission losses of UTP and coaxial cables up to 300 meters in length. Various gain stages are summed together to best approximate the inverse frequency response of the cable. Video Distribution Amplifiers (sometimes called a video splitter – not to be confused with a video split screen controller such as our PXD510E split screen controller) are typically used for connecting a camera or other video source to several monitors that do not have “looping” inputs. In this situation, each monitor has a permanent 75 ohm termination. With two non-looping monitors connected together, the line would be double loaded and result in a dim picture on each monitor. Using a Video Distribution Amplifier will solve this problem by driving each monitor individually at 100%.The second application is when the video signal is run over distances greater than 50 feet. The coaxial cable has a fair amount of signal loss over long distances.
