Test Fixturing
There are no good measurements without good test fixtures. Ideally the test fixture needs to make the electrical connection between the test instrument and the device-under-test (DUT) and be electrically transparent. ATE has developed fixtures for SMT components, leadless packages, and miniature coaxial interfaces, in such a way that the fixture effects can be removed, and the measurement reference plane can be brought right down to the DUT.

DC Current Bias Supply
DC1000A
To guarantee the quality and performance of inductive components such as inductors, chokes and transformers they are tested at their real-life operating point. If the inductor is designed to carry a DC current, then its inductance must be measured with that DC current present. Until now, these measurements were made by an LCR meter connected via special interfacing to a DC bias supply available only from the manufacturer of the LCR meter. The unique NEW DC1000A can be used with any precision LCR meter and connects simply into existing test fixturing.

Device Parameter Analysis
bsw TestSystems & Consulting AG
The complexity of DC Parametric Characterisations has significantly increased with the level of miniaturisation in the semiconductor industry. The demand is not only on the precision of the measurements. New measurement methods have emerged to gain insight into phenomena previously unknown or only of marginal relevance. One example is "Pulsed IV" which is now widely in use. The modular concept of the Keysight B1500A allows users to tailor their instrument exactly to their needs. Flexible upgrades ensure the investment for many years. Together with bsw AG you will get an optimum solution for your application. Our experts provide not only support for the instrument itself but have also working knowledge of all the solutions surrounding it. This includes Cabeling and Adapters, Fixturing for packaged Parts and of course Wafer Probing. We help customers from replacements of broken or worn-out parts to planning and deployment of turn-key-systems.

Femto / Picoammeter, 0.01fA, Battery
B2983B
The B2983B Femto/Picoammeter is the world’s only graphical picoammeter that allows you to confidently measure small currents with 0.01 fA (0.01 x 10-15 A) resolution. In addition, battery operation eliminates AC line noise from your critical measurements. It possesses a 4.3” color LCD with a graphical user interface that provides trend chart and histogram data in addition to numeric information. These front-panel capabilities enable you to capture transient behavior and to perform quick statistical analyses without a PC. The available Setup Integrity Checker software option allows you to compare the noise levels of different cabling and fixturing arrangements to help isolate external noise sources.

Fixture Building Software
FixGenius
Tests show that FixGenius’ rule-based probe-mapping algorithms reduce pin deflection by up to 25% compared with traditional fixturing packages. FixGenius comes with a powerful Fixture Editor that allows the user to change the probe mapping. If a solution is mathematically possible, FixGenius’ algorithms will find it, and pick the one with least deflection. If the job simply cannot be done with one single fixture, FixGenius will fully automatically split the test into multiple fixtures or into fixture and flying probe test sets, with guaranteed test integrity.
