Shielding Effectiveness/ Conductivity Test

The EM-2107A is a standard test fixture for evaluation of the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of planar material. The fixture is an enlarged section of coaxial transmission line and complies fully with the requirements of ASTM test method D4935-1. The measured data relates to the shielding effectiveness due to a plane wave (far field EM wave) from which near field values for magnetic and electric fields may be inferred. The EM-2107A is provided with a reference standard test specimen, a dynamic range specimen. Dynamic range of greater than 80dB is achievable, although the cables and other test system components usually establishes the limiting factors.

High Impedance Active Probes

Designed as a companion probe to Models 12C and 18C for driving integrated circuit lines so the Model 12C and 18C can be used to measure the response of adjacent nodes. The Model 7 consists of a flexible 6 foot, 50 ohm coaxial cable accurately terminated to 50 ohms in order to avoid undesirable reflections. A special miniature connector receives replacement coaxial probe tips that provide a shielded environment to within 3 mm of the fine tungsten probe point, thus minimizing capacitive coupling to other parts of the circuit. The replaceable coaxial probe tips are offered in various point sizes and can also be bent to any shape in order to accommodate a variety of probing geometries.

Resistivity and Hall Effect
The Resistivity System allows the user to make Resistivity and Hall Effect measurements in the range of to M. Samples are mounted on special platforms inside the VTI with contacts made to the sample according to the customer's requirements. Connections at the top of the probe are made via Fischer Connectors or Coaxial Cables. Keithley source and measurement electronics are provided with the system. These are fully controlled using the Measurement System Software.
