Power Bead Inductors
Power bead inductors are typically used in high current multi-phase voltage regulators that power processors, memory modules and high current ASICs and FPGA in a wide range of applications including servers, graphics cards, storage and data centers. The construction consists of a ferrite core assembled over a 1T or 2T winding and which allows for extremely low DCR, high peak current and low AC losses. Pulse has single phase, integrated phases and coupled inductor versions. DC Bias Injector

When using the network analyzer to measure impedance, such as the capacitance and ESR or a capacitor, or the DCR of an inductor, etc., it is often necessary to provide a voltage bias to the device being tested. This is true of semiconductor junction capacitances, varactors, and some ceramic capacitors (especially X5R). In these cases the impedance is a function of the DC bias on the device. The Picotest DC bias injector (J2130A) is used for this purpose during impedance measurements.

Round Wire Coil Inductors
Round wire coil (RWC) inductors come in six platform sizes and enable the highest efficiency of any SMT inductor through the use of a low loss ferrite core material which minimizes AC losses and also eliminates thermal ageing. The use of round magnetic wire instead of rectangular flat coils enables a lower cost while still maintaining a low DCR and small footprint. The platforms have passed the AEC-Q200 stress test qualification proving the designs robustness and suitability to difficult environments but the parts are not IATF certified.
