Each combines test, fault location, design, documentation, labeling, and database storage in one instrument. Tests can be performed on long cables (with or without connectors) or no cables (e.g. connectors, backplanes, PCBs, components).

BOLT-Tester
BTS(BOLT-Tester) is developed in 2012 after the collapse at SASAGO Tunnel on the Chuo Expressway in Japan. Visual inspection and hammer sound testing are main inspection methods for maintenance and management of anchor bolts in a tunnel. However, these methods have some issues in regard to objectivity and reliability of the results. Pull out testing is also one of a testing method for the soundness test of anchor bolts, however, this method have also some issues in regard to cost and time, and there is a risk to damage the anchor bolt. The MM39 is an auto-ranging multimeter with a large rotary switch for easy selection of the required test, even when wearing gloves. There are two test buttons, one to lock the range and the other to hold the results which are displayed on a 3½ digit LCD screen.
The main test functions are AC voltage and DC voltage and current and resistance. The MM39 measures both AC and DC voltage between 0.1mV to 600V and AC and DC current between 10mA to 10A. There is a diode test and an audible continuity test which sounds at less than 25Ω.
