This entry-level instrument has been designed for an ease of use and for a good productivity together with a strong protection against misuse. This very robust device has proven to be reliable even in very cold weather (up to -40°C) or in wet environment. It is able to inject up to 2200W in the soil and to inject up to 13A, so that it is suitable, even on conductive soils, to measure resistivity and IP at medium range depths. The SiTek Standard PSD (Position Sensing Detector) has high resolution, fast response and outstanding linearity. Disciplined Frequency Standards
2960AR and 2965AR
The 2960AR has a rubidium timebase and provides two 10MHz and one 5MHz sine wave outputs. The 2965AR has a rubidium timebase and provides one 10MHz, one 5MHz and one signal generator output. The signal generator output uses Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) technology and is programmable from 100Hz to 50MHz via an RS232 serial interface. Both models can be disciplined by a 1pps input signal and provide a 1pps output. The 1pps input is typically provided by the GPS Frequency output from a device like a smart GPS receiver or antenna. The Novatech GPS1 Smart Antenna is available as an accessory to provide a complete turnkey solution.

Primary Standards
Primary standards (often also referred to as mechanical dead-weight testers, pressure balances or primary pressure standards) are the most accurate reference instruments for pressure. Their functional principle is based on the physical principle of pressure = force/area. Mass pieces placed on the top of a piston-cylinder system are the source of a precisely defined force. By producing a certain (counter) pressure inside the primary standard an equilibrium is achieved: the mass pieces, including the free-running piston of the piston-cylinder system, are floating, which will lead to a very accurate pressure at the test port which measured through piston gauge technology.

AC Calibration Standard
1U647-001
The 1U647-001 is a low cost calibration standard used to determine if a 1U632-100 or a 1U663-100 DMU requires factory calibration. Its portability makes it ideal for field-testing. The standard generates signals that simulate the aircraft’s resolvers, rotary variable transformers (RVTs), and linear variable displacement transformers (LVDTs). The unit also generates a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal, and routes the output of an ARINC 429 source to the different DMU input channels. The calibration standard connects directly to the DMU and replaces the output signals of an active extender card. Discrete switch settings simplify testing. The unit is housed in a rugged aluminum case.
