Test SOEC/rSOC Electrolyzers
Electrolysis is currently the most promising process for producing green hydrogen. Alongside the intensively researched PEM electrolysis and the decades-established AEL electrolysis, SOEC electrolysis is the newcomer among the technologies. SOEC electrolyzers have the potential to make a significant contribution to the transition to a hydrogen economy. The technology is particularly efficient due to its use of steam at high operating temperatures. SOEC – solid oxide electrolyzer cell – also known colloquially as high-temperature electrolysis – is currently still in the critical pilot plant testing phase, so reliable testing options for SOEC electrolyzers are in demand.
